Usui Reiki First Degree Class — Reiki Level I Class
The Usui Reiki First Degree Class (or Reiki Level I Class) is for everyone. Take your first steps in this eye–opening class that will show you how to give yourself and others a Reiki treatment. Gain a thorough understanding of Reiki from a Western perspective, delving into Western influences such as the chakra system and auras, and discover how these alternative interpretations work within the traditional system of Reiki.
(“Reiki I”, “First Degree”, “Reiki Level 1” are other names sometimes used to refer to this same level of Reiki.)
The First Degree Reiki I Class is one of the Western style Usui Reiki Healing Classes that aim to teach you Reiki as it has developed in the West, and includes many non–traditional Reiki techniques. Remember: Our aim is to make Reiki accessible to everyone and according to each person's circumstances. We gladly put our trust in you to donate an amount that is right for you, and which you feel adequately reflects the value of the teachings.

The First Degree Reiki Classes are a vibrant fusion of established Western Reiki practices and the traditional Japanese art of Reiki. We explore how this combination of alternative practices works with your body on every level to provide you with many of the benefits of the traditional system of Reiki.
The class text is by the founder of the International Center for Reiki Training, William Lee Rand's “Reiki: The Healing Touch”, and we cover the First Degree elements taught there.
You will gain a thorough understanding of the system of Reiki from a Western perspective, learn how to give yourself and others a complete Reiki treatment, and receive the First Degree Reiki I attunement in the style practiced by Hawayo Takata. With additional practice and experience, you will be well on the way to becoming an accomplished Reiki practitioner.
As with all forms of Reiki, you are encouraged to continue to practice. Join us at the regular Reiki Workshops to deepen your understanding and benefit from the shared experiences of others.

Prerequisites
This class is for everyone; from complete beginners to those already experienced in other forms of energy work, Qigong, Yoga, meditation, etc. There are no prerequisites for taking this class.

Where
Reiki services advertised in Lake Forest will be at my place in Lake Forest, Orange County, California, with easy access from the Santa Ana Freeway (Interstate 5). The full address will be provided to you when your booking is confirmed.
Addresses for other venues will be shown as and when they are announced.
How
Once you have received a confirmation of your booking from me, all you need to do is arrive promptly at the agreed date and time. Please do not be late for class!
Preparation
Wear comfortable clothing. Bring a sack lunch and a bottle of water. Bring a pencil and notepad to take notes.
Duration
Each First Degree Reiki I class usually lasts around 5 hours, but this can vary. All students of Reiki are warmly invited to continue to build upon what they have learnt by attending the Reiki Workshops which are held regularly.

- VOLUNTARY DONATIONS WELCOME: You will not be charged. The usual cost of a First Degree Reiki I Class is around USD$100 to USD$150. You are welcome to leave a donation of your choosing at the end of the class which will be shared with charity.

- OPTIONAL: Professional Reiki I & II Manual “Reiki The Healing Touch” by William Lee Rand USD$23.00 (Discounted from Regular Price + Shipping USD$25.74.) Covers First and Second Degree Reiki so you only need to buy once.
- OPTIONAL: First Degree Reiki I Certificate of Completion, plus a bound copy of the relevant Reiki Symbols learnt in your class USD$5.00
